The City of Armadale will host the second Positive Ageing Forum at the Armadale Library during March.

Mayor Henry Zelones said the forums are focused on engaging older community members and will provide information on the strategies available to help prevent, delay and manage the challenges people many face as they age.

"These strategies are vital as they can enable participants to enjoy a great quality of life by keeping fit, healthy and engaged fully in life," said Mayor Zelones.

The next forum will be held on Wednesday 5 March from 1.30 to 4pm. Both sessions will be presented by a speaker from the WA Seniors Card Centre. The first session 'Senior Matters' will provide information about the seniors card, updates, benefits, concessions, rebates, allowances, and how it can be used in conjunction with other government cards.

The second presentation 'Ageing well and living independently' commences at 3pm and will cover planning for your later years, challenging yourself, keeping physically and mentally active, staying connected and keeping informed of your rights and responsibilities.

Afternoon tea will be provided between sessions. For further information and to RSVP contact Armadale Library on 9399 0125.
