Throughout the year the City of Armadale has hosted monthly Positive Ageing Sessions. Covering a diverse range of topics from safety and security to health, the sessions are designed to engage older members of the community.

The next session will be held at the Armadale Library on Wednesday 5 November from 1.30 to 4pm. The first presentation will be ‘Healthy Kidneys’.

A representative from Kidney Health Australia will provide information on how to care for healthy kidneys and what it means to have chronic kidney disease.

Mayor Henry Zelones said the session will be informative for people who would like to know more about living well with chronic kidney disease.

“The presenter will also discuss the link between heart disease, diabetes and kidney disease.

“The second session ‘Preparing a Will’ commences at 3pm with the Acting Principal Solicitor for the Citizens Advice Bureau of Western Australia, who will provide information on preparing a will.

“Participants will hear some interesting advice on what you should consider when preparing your will, and other useful information to help you understand the complexities of this legal document,” said Mayor Zelones.

Light refreshments will be provided. Bookings are essential as numbers are limited. Call 9399 0125.
