The City of Armadale will host a series of Positive Ageing: 'Let’s get crafty' sessions as part of the Positive Ageing program for senior members of the community.

These craft sessions will be held on the second Thursday of each month, with the next session teaching beginners how to paint with watercolours.

Mayor Henry Zelones said these sessions are becoming very popular in the community, as people enjoy building on their skills and hobbies.

"A local artist will be there to instruct beginners on how to start painting with watercolours and will also touch on colour theory.

"These sessions are a fantastic opportunity to build on your craft skills, whilst also providing a great way to interact with other members of your community," said Mayor Zelones.

Paints and paper will be supplied at a cost of $7 per person, payable to the instructor on the day.

This session will be held on Thursday 12 June, from 10am to midday at the Armadale Library.

Bookings are essential, as numbers are limited. For further information, and to RSVP, contact Armadale Library on 9399 0125.
