The City of Armadale ratepayers have until 5 September to pay their annual rates upfront and have the chance to go into the running to win a cash prize.
Mayor Henry Zelones said the prize draw, worth a total of $8500, is a great incentive to encourage ratepayers to pay their rates in full.
“It also means the City can earn interest to help fund the many services and progams that the City provides to its ratepayers and residents.
"I encourage all ratepayers to consider the benefits of paying their rates early and in full, as it's cheaper than part payments and you also qualify for this great competition," said Mayor Zelones.
The City of Armadale awards three cash prizes of $2000 each, Wespac sponsors a $1500 cash prize and there are two cash prizes worth $500 each to be won, courtesy of Bendigo Bank.
A Smarter Way to Pay is another incentive and is a no-fuss way to pay rates over a 12 month period via direct debit, on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis from April to March. There are no administration fees or penalty interest for ratepayers who adopt this payment method.
There is also the chance to win one of four cash prizes of up to $1000 be using this convenient method to pay your rates.
