Outside the Frame Art Awards Winners Announced
Release Date:
Tuesday, 14 August 2018

A number of aspiring and talented young artists have walked away with Excellence Awards at this year’s Outside the Frame Art Awards opening ceremony at Rossiter Pavilion last Friday.

Eight Year 11 and 12 students received Excellence Awards and Perth Modern School was named the school with the Best Collective Works.

City of Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said over 80 entries were received this year from students across metropolitan Perth.

“The popular annual competition is continuing to grow with more entries received this year. Again, all of these entries were of a high calibre standard, making it difficult for the judges to select the winning pieces.

“We are committed to providing young people in the community with the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents and opinions to the community.”

This year’s exhibition featured artworks from 18 schools across Perth. Award winners received art books related to their medium of choice and an art supplies voucher to encourage them to continue to develop their skills.

The exhibition is open until Sunday 19 August from 11am to 4pm at the Rossiter Pavilion in Piara Waters.
