School holidays fun just went up a notch, with Armadale Multisport Day, available free of charge with dinner included for children aged 6-12 years and 13-18 years old, being held at Gwynne Park on Wednesday 24 January from 2 to 6pm.

Part of the Night Fields Series, the event will see six state sports available for participants to try in a round robin style on the day, including Little Athletics, Football, Soccer, Rugby Union, Cricket and Netball, with parents welcome to attend, and a fun zone available for younger siblings on the day.

Mayor Henry Zelones OAM JP said the Night Fields series offers something unique for Armadale’s younger residents.

“Night Fields offers younger residents the opportunity to come and try sports they may not have been exposed to, as well as getting active, and connecting with like-minded children,” Mayor Zelones said.

The Night Fields series has been delivered over the last two years and continues to build in popularity.

“We have really enjoyed seeing the positive outcomes after the event of younger residents discovering a new passion, joining local clubs in their community, and increasing their physical activity levels,” Mayor Zelones said.

In addition to the City of Armadale, the Armadale Multisport Day has been made possible by City partners, Netball WA, WA Football Commission, Rugby WA, Football West, Little Athletics, and the WA Cricket Association.

Participants register on arrival, with those under 18 years requiring a parent signature. For more information, please contact the City of Armadale on 9394 5000 or email info@armadale.wa.gov.au.
