Throughout the year the City of Armadale will be hosting a series of Positive Ageing Sessions at the Armadale Library, and other venues throughout the City of Armadale, to engage older members of the community.

The workshops are held each month and cover a wide range of topics such as safety and security, health, activities for older people and other useful information.

Pain and Chronic Pain Management

Wednesday 1 November, 1.30 – 2.30pm
Armadale Library

A representative from Juniper Community will discuss various types of pain, including acute and chronic pain. This presentation delves a little into the science of pain, making sense of pain, what help is available for pain relief and what you can do to manage chronic pain.

Freedom of Information (FOI) accessing government document in WA

Wednesday 1 November, 3 – 4pm
Armadale Library

The Freedom of Information Act 199 (WA) gives you a right to access state and local government documents, subject to some restrictions. Find out how this works in practice, the types of document you can expect to access and some tips for making an FOI application.
