Throughout the year the City of Armadale hosts a series of Positive Ageing Sessions at the Armadale Library and other venues to engage older members of the community.
The workshops are held each month and cover a wide range of topics such as safety and security, health, current activities and useful information particularly relevant for older people. The next two sessions in the Positive Ageing Sessions series are:

A representative from Advocare will discuss:
- Advocacy and the role of Advocare
- Accessing Services
- Human Rights
- Elder Abuse.
Stroke Safe
Wednesday 6 February, 3 - 4pm
Armadale Library
In Australia, a stroke occurs every ten minutes. A representative from Stroke Foundation will discuss:
- What a stroke is and how to recognise the warning signs.
- The effects of a stroke and how to reduce the risk of stroke.
