Throughout the year the City of Armadale hosts a series of Positive Ageing Sessions at the Armadale Library and other venues to engage older members of the community.

The workshops are held each month and cover a wide range of topics such as safety and security, health, current activities and useful information particularly relevant for older people. The next two sessions in the Positive Ageing Sessions series are:

Hypnotherapy and its use for mental and physical health

Wednesday 5 December, 1.30 - 2.30pm
Armadale Library

The power of our minds is incredible and its effect on our health and wellbeing is something science is only starting to discover.
Clinical Hypnotherapist, Geordie Thompson, will explain how you can control the energy of our minds to increase our health and how hypnosis is used to reduce pain, anxiety and stress.

Managing your money

Wednesday 5 December, 3 - 4 pm
Armadale Library

A Financial Information Service Officer from Centrelink will discuss how to:

  • Take control of your money
  • Start a budget - set goals for the future
  • Protect your assets
  • Clear your debts
