Throughout the year the City of Armadale hosts a series of Positive Ageing Sessions at the Armadale Library and other venues to engage older members of the community.

The workshops are held each month and cover a wide range of topics such as safety and security, health, current activities and useful information particularly relevant for older people. The next two sessions in the Positive Ageing Sessions series are:

Wills – What you need to consider

Wednesday 1 August, 1.30 - 2.30pm
Armadale Library

A legal representative from Citizens Advice Bureau will discuss the following:

  • The basic requirements in making a will.
  • Appointing Executors and their duties.
  • Who can be a beneficiary?
  • Who has the right to contest a will?

Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA) & Enduring Power of Guardianship (EPG)

Wednesday 1 August, 3 - 4pm
Armadale Library

A member of the Citizens Advice Bureau’s legal team will discuss:

  • What EPAs and EPGs are and how they differ.
  • How long they last.
  • When you should consider making an EPA or EPG.
