Join our regular preschool story time for multi-cultural tales, including fun with puppets, scarves, musical instruments and bubbles!

DNA & Family History

DNA testing gets a lot of publicity these days. Would you like to know more about DNA testing and what it means?
During this session presented by DNA expert Mike Murray and Dr Lesley Silvester of Time Trackers you will learn:
- Some basic facts about DNA
- How your DNA links to you family history
- What DNA tests are available
- What you can learn from DNA testing
- What's involved and how much it costs.

Dementia Awareness

With almost one in 10 people over 65 living with dementia, and a growing rate of early onset, the chance of you or someone you care about being affected are high.
At this free information session presented by Dementia Australia you will learn:

- How to support someone living with dementia

Dave Warner: A Life of Crime
Wednesday27 March, 6.30 - 8pm

Known as the Suburban Boy thanks to his rock hit of the late 1970s, Dave Warner is not only an engaging raconteur but one of Australia’s finest wordsmiths - as you will discover during this session. Enjoy a sublime hour of readings, autobiography, mock heroic poems and original music.
Dave will detail his life growing up in the suburbs of the world’s most isolated city, and how this shaped a desire for music and an appetite for crime fiction.
He will talk about how and why he got interested in crime, and what makes him laugh, cry and shout as he sings his way through his original library of deeply Australian songs written over a span of 40 years.
This is one event you don’t want to miss! This session is for adults. Refreshments of wine and cheese will be available.
