Golden Oldies Afternoon

An afternoon of Lego, colouring, rock painting, games, puzzles and a help station for your technology troubles.

Keep your mind active and keep your hands moving.

These activities will unleash creativity, improve co-ordination, and relax the mind.

All materials are provided and refreshments will be available.

These sessions are part of the City’s Senior’s Week celebrations.

International Games Day

Saturday 4 November, 1 – 4pm
Armadale Library

Play games in celebration of International Games Day. Come with your own gaming crew or join with other eager gamers.

The library has a variety of board games and card games available to play. Challenge friends, strangers, and library staff, in some healthy bouts of gaming competition.

Refreshments will be available. All children and adults are welcome. Parents or caregivers must stay with their children while at the library. No bookings required.

Keep Calm and Colour

Sunday 5 and 19 November, 1 – 3pm
Armadale Library

Help alleviate stress and inspire creativity with adult colouring sessions.

Bring your favourite colouring image and supplies, or start off with the pictures and pencils provided. Relax, de-stress and get creative.

Refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits will be available. Bookings are not required. 

Learning English through Storytime 

Seville Grove Library, Monday mornings, 10.30 –11.30am
Session dates: 6,13, 20 and 27 November

Learning English through Storytime workshops assist families to improve and practice English in a fun educational environment.

These sessions include songs, rhymes and stories plus interactive activities which develop children's confidence and school readiness.

The program is suitable for children aged three to four years and their carers.  Adults should be able to speak basic English as parents and children participate in the activities together.

Meet Perth based bestselling authors Natasha Lester and Tess Woods and enjoy the conversation as they discuss their latest novels, Her Mother’s Secret and Beautiful Messy Love.

Natasha and Tess will chat about the journey and process from initial idea to finished novel.  They will share their best marketing and branding tips and you will hear about how they manage/struggle to accommodate writing into their busy lives.

Audience participation is encouraged. Bring some questions and discover a lot more about Natasha and Tess.

Published – The ultimate goal with Peter Ramshaw

From manuscript assessments to publishing options, and from agent hunting to on-demand printing, Peter Ramshaw will explore the various avenues available to get that finished novel into print. Discover the numerous ways to get a story into the hands of the people it is written for in the first place: readers!

Peter has been a fulltime journalist and editor since 1976. He’s worked for newspapers, magazines, book publishers, online companies, and is a published author. In his spare time, Peter helps authors get their sweat-drenched words into print.
