Technology Buddies
Kelmscott Senior High School students will be at Armadale Library from Monday 10 March, from 3.15 to 4pm, helping seniors with their technology queries.
This is a great opportunity for seniors to have their questions answered and a chance for young people to contribute to the community.
Students will be able to assist with questions about the senior’s laptops, digital cameras, iPads, tablets and mobile phones.
Sessions begin on Monday 10 March and run for five weeks.
Bookings are essential. Call 9399 0125 to secure your place.
Positive Ageing Sessions
The City of Armadale will be hosting two Positive Ageing sessions during April.
The first session will be presented by an ambassador for the National Stroke Foundation on ‘Become stroke safe’ and will discuss how to recognise and reduce the risk and impact of stroke.
The second presentation ’Services for carers’ will be delivered by Leslie Oliver of Carers WA and will outline a range of services available to Carers with special attention to counselling services and the importance of self-care.
Afternoon tea will be provided between sessions. For further information and to RSVP contact Armadale Library on 9399 0125.
