Men’s Social Group

This casual, social group is for men looking to get out of their home and meet new people. Socialise with like-minded men and enjoy a conversation or group activity.

These sessions are on the second and fourth Thursday every month from 2 – 4pm at the Armadale Library.

Registrations are not required, however call Armadale Library on 9399 0125 is you are a first time member.

3D Printing Workshops

Armadale Library now has 3D printing available.

You can learn about the printer, the software it uses and discover amazing designs to print your own 3D objects.

These workshops will explain the basics of what is possible, and show you the service that the library can provide. You will even get to see the 3D printer in action.

The workshops will be held at the Armadale Library from 2 – 3pm on Saturday 3 May and 17 May, Saturday 14 June and 28 June. Places are limited so bookings are essential. Call 9399 0125 to secure your place at one of these workshops.

National Volunteer Week - 14 May - Save the date!

National Volunteer Week will be celebrated across Australia from 12-18 May.

This year will be the 25th Anniversary of National Volunteer Week and Volunteering Australia has announced the theme "Celebrate the power of volunteering" for this year's events.

Armadale Volunteer Services and the City of Armadale will be hosting a volunteer celebration for National Volunteer Week on Wednesday 14 May at the Armadale District Hall starting at 2.30pm. For more information, contact Armadale Volunteer Services on 9399 0642 or volunteering@armadale.wa.gov.au.

LiveLighter Seniors Activity/Information Day

This is a special day that will provide recreational activities and information for people over 45 years.

Come along and join in carpet bowls, mini golf, X box Kinect, seated hockey, quoits, pole walking and other activities – remember to wear soft soled/comfortable footwear.

Positive Ageing Sessions

The City of Armadale will be hosting two Positive Ageing sessions during May.

Understanding Depression and Anxiety

An ambassador of Beyond Blue will cover issues relating to anxiety, phobias and depression. Learn how to recognise the symptoms of depression, what you can do to help yourself and what to expect when you need professional help.

How to side step depression and anxiety

Dr Frans Hugo from the Armadale Health Service will discuss steps to avoiding depression and anxiety including the role of certain medications in causing depression. He will also outline how to adopt a healthy, positive attitude to life and details of support services available in the Armadale area.
