Positive Ageing Sessions - Travelling Wisely

An officer from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade will cover important issues relating to travelling overseas including:

  • Why we should have travel insurance.
  • Why it is important to register your details when travelling.
  • Travel Advice – Is it safe to travel, where does the information come from and how current is the advice?
  • Travelling with prescription medicines.

A representative from Kings Tours and Travel will give advice on how to keep travelling as we age, with tips gathered from their clients, as well as general travel information.

10th Light Horse Regiment during World Wars I & II

Armadale Library – Armadale Central Shopping Centre

Merv Wilson, President of the Kelmscott-Pinjarra Memorial Troop of the 10th Light Horse Regiment, will tell us how this local troop commemorates those who represented Australia in past major conflicts.

The troop is currently working to identify Aboriginal Soldiers’ grave sites, around Australia.
