Youth Programs during Summer Holidays

During the summer holidays try out the City of Armadale’s taster workshops that will be on offer during the first semester of 2014.

Drama – Armadale Town Hall

The Stargate Drama Academy will teach students the foundations of the dramatic arts including characterisation, voice production, props and costumes, expressions and improvisation skills. The participants will work towards an end of semester performance where their families and friends can see them in action.

Tuesday 28 January
2 - 3pm Year 6 students
3 - 4pm Year 7, 8 & 9 students

Hip Hop Dance – Armadale Arena

In 2014, the Hip Hop program will be delivered in two classes. The boys program will focus on developing their Bboy skills in Breakdancing and the girls program will focus on grooves and choreographed routines. The classes will work towards an end of semester performance where their families and friends can see them in action.

Cross Park - Wygonda Road, Roleystone

The SBA Hub program will move to Cross Park for 2014, delivered by experienced skate boarders these workshops focus on developing skate boarding skills for beginners and assisting experienced skaters to practice new tricks. Try out the Streetwise Clinic and Game of Skate Competition.

Competition from 4.30pm

Freestyle Now will host a school holidays workshop and competition at Cross Park for BMX and Scooter riders. Practice new tricks, or learn the basics if you are new to BMX and Scooter.

Forrestdale - Weld Street Forrestdale

Freestyle Now at Forrestdale will happen fortnightly at the Forrestdale skate park in 2014. Practice Scooter and BMX tricks with the experienced coaches, suitable for all skill levels.

Wednesday 29 January
2 - 5pm

Youth Activity Area – Orchard Avenue, Armadale

Freestyle Now will coach the Freestyle on Friday’s workshops fortnightly at the YAA for 2014. Practice Scooter and BMX tricks with the experienced coaches, suitable for all skills levels.
