Meet the Author:Graeme Simsion: Best Selling Australian Author

Graeme Simsion is a Melbourne based novelist and screenwriter. His first novel,The Rosie Project, was the 2014 ABIA (Australian Book Industry Award) Book of the Year. The combined sales ofThe Rosie Project and its sequel, The Rosie Effect, are over four million copies worldwide.

Graeme’s new novel The Best of Adam Sharp uses a light touch to explore serious issues.

This session is part ofWrite Along the Highway 2016.

Rhyme Time Training for Early Years Workers

Wednesday 21 September, 9.30am – noon
Armadale Library, Armadale Central Shopping Centre        

This training session will include an opportunity to view a live Rhyme Time session in Armadale Library and provide participants with information and tips on:

  • The importance of providing a quality Rhyme Time with your clientele
  • Session planning suggestions
  • Presentation of sessions
  • Incorporating props into Rhyme Time.

Story Time Training for Early Years Workers

Armadale Library, Armadale Central Shopping Centre
Wednesday 21 September, 1 - 3.30pm

The Story Time Training session will cover essential skills for preparing and presenting Story Time, and is aimed at Early Years staff to gain confidence reading stories to young children.

Topics covered during the session will include choosing suitable books and rhymes, story time presentation, and tips for overcoming challenges.

These training sessions are suitable for people who work with children at libraries, childcare, playgroup leaders, education assistants and any related group in the Armadale Early Years Network.

Both of these sessions are presented by staff from theBetter Beginnings Family Literacy Program, State Library of WA.

Participants can book for both or just one session. Lunch is provided for those attending both the Rhyme Time and Story Time Training sessions.
