Lego Buddies

Enjoy some quality time together! Come along with your favourite lego buddy and enjoy building some Lego creations. These free range sessions are suitable for families with children aged 6 to 12 years.

Bookings are not required. Parents or carers must stay in the library during these sessions.

Kelmscott Crafters

Saturday 3 & 7 March, 9.30 – 11.30am
Kelmscott Library
This friendly community craft group welcomes all crafters to come along to share ideas and socialise at the Kelmscott Library.

Bring along your own projects, materials and tools and be inspired!

Technology Buddies

Need help with technology? Students from Dale Christian School will be available to assist you with your technology troubles. Any questions about your laptop, iPad, tablet, mobile phone or digital camera can be solved by these technology savvy youngsters.

Keep Calm and Colour

Help alleviate stress and inspire creativity with adult colouring sessions. Bring your favourite colouring images and supplies, or start off with the pictures and pencils provided.

Learning English through Storytime

12, 19, 26 March & 9 April, 10.30 – 11.30am

Learning English through Storytime workshops assist families to improve and practice English in a fun educational environment.

These sessions include songs, rhymes and stories plus interactive activities which develop children’s confidence and school readiness.

The program is suitable for children aged three to four years and their carers. Adults should be able to speak basic English as parents and children participate in these activities together.

Urban Art with Streets of Perth

Streets of Perth is Australia’s most popular street art appreciation blog, run by local couple Duncan and Nikki Atack.

Since 2014, they've shared over 1,200 photos of different murals from across Western Australia. With over 230,000 followers across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, their Street art blog provides a digital celebration of Perth's evolving public art scene.

Join these urban explorers as they share the secrets and stories of their hobby and how the blog grew to have such a strong following.

Upcycling the Ragbag

Friday 16 March, 10.30 – 12.30pm
Kelmscott Library

Transform all those teeny tiny bits of fabric and yarn into useful and beautiful objects, without going near a sewing machine!

We will explore a variety of cutting and sewing techniques, all suitable for beginners including sashiko stitching, string making, harmony balls, weaving and more.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own upcycled or re-modelled projects and ideas for us to admire.

Astronomy with Chris Marr
