Throughout the year the City of Armadale hosts a series of Positive Ageing Sessions at the Armadale Library and other venues to engage older members of the community.

The workshops are held each month and cover a wide range of topics such as safety and security, health, current activities and useful information particularly relevant for older people. The next session in the Positive Ageing Sessions series is:

Scams, cyber safety and consumer rights

Wednesday 5 June, 1.30 – 4pm
Armadale Library

An officer from Consumer Protection will bring you up to date on the latest scams and cyber safety initiatives including topics on:

  • How to spot and stop scams
  • Protecting your computer and online accounts
  • What to do if you have been scammed.

Consumer rights will also be discussed, covering:

  • Consumer guarantees
  • Remedies
  • Consequential loss
  • Warranties
  • Licences
  • Receipts
  • Charge backs.
