The Piara Waters Junior Football Club will call the Rossiter Pavilion home next winter season.

Following a Registration of Interest period, the club were announced as the winter season user of the facility.

City of Armadale Mayor Henry OAM, JP said the announcement is an exciting development in both the team and the newly established pavilion's history.

“The City is proud to name the Piara Waters Junior Football Club as the official home team of the facility for next winter.”

AFL is one of the top sports played in the Harrisdale – Piara Waters area. Currently, the team are operating out of the Piara Waters Pavilion, but due to rapid growth over the last five years from 50 members in 2013 to over 380 members, they have had to cap memberships and turn potential players away.

“This is an exciting opportunity for the club. They will now be able to expand to a two-location club, and utilise the ground extensively and continue to grow their membership substantially,” added Mayor Zelones.

Any sporting groups interested in using the Pavilion and Playing Field can contact the City for more information.

The facility is also now available for community bookings.
