nbn™ broadband services continue to be rolled out across the City of Armadale, providing more than 32,000 premises direct access to the nbn™ network.

For those residents and businesses in Armadale and Kelmscott that haven’t already switched over to the nbn, now is the time. Many suburbs within the City are due to be disconnected from their previous service at some stage in 2018, however nbn has advised that it will write to residents three months, and also five weeks out, from their disconnection date.

As the service continues to be rolled out there are a number of things for businesses and residents to consider.

Some devices like medical and fire alarms may not be compatible with the new phone and broadband plan at all times. To find out if your services are affected, contact your current phone and internet provider.

When switching, there is a choice of speeds. For more information contact your preferred phone or internet provider to discuss your requirements and make the switch before your disconnection date.

The commencement of fixed wireless to service residents in parts of Forrestdale, Roleystone South and Karragullen has begun the design and construction phases. For those residents falling outside of the fixed wireless footprint, the Sky Muster satellite service has been available since 2016.

A guide for businesses on how to make the switch and a business readiness checklist is available at www.nbn.com.au/business.

For further details and to register for updates about the nbn™ head to www.nbnco.com.au/switch.
