There’s so much happening at the City of Armadale Libraries during November and December as the City hosts a variety of workshops and concerts for budding song writers and aspiring singers.

The following concerts, song writing and music workshops are made possible with the assistance of a grant from the WA Department of Culture and the Arts Connect program.

Singing Workshops
Saturday 29 November and Saturday 6 December
10am – noon

Aspiring singers are invited to join this series of singing workshops with renowned musician and choir director Bernard Carney. If you are interested in singing or being in a choir, this is a great opportunity to have a go. Participants must attend both workshops.

Bernard Carney in Concert
Saturday 29 November
1.30 – 3pm

Bernard Carney is a talented singer, songwriter, guitarist and performer. Bernard is also the musical director of the Working Voices Choir and Spirit of the Streets Choir.

Spirit of the Streets Choir
Saturday 6 December
1.30 – 2.30pm

This choir was originally created with sellers of The Big Issue magazine, and then extended to include singers from a disadvantaged background.

Light refreshments will be provided. Bookings are essential for each session.
