Acclaimed author Morris Gleitzman will present his latest book Loyal Creatures during a visit to the Armadale Library on Thursday 12 June.

Mayor Henry Zelones said Morris is one of Australia's funniest and best-loved children's authors, who's earned a reputation for creating humorous, evocative novels for young-adult readers.

"His new book Loyal Creatures is a story of a courageous 16 year old Australian volunteer and his horse, which were sent to the middle-eastern campaign during the First World War.

"The session will begin with an actor performing a monologue created by Morris, followed by an interview with the author," said Mayor Zelones.

Copies of Morris’s books will be available for signing and purchase during the session, which will run from 6 to 8pm on Thursday 12 June.

Refreshments will be available. Bookings are essential. Please call Armadale Library on 9399 0125.
