As you will already be aware, WA is now experiencing a circuit breaker lockdown throughout the Perth and Peel region.
The City of Armadale will continue providing services, wherever possible, just in a different way. Essential and key services remain operational with most services available via phone, online and digital platforms. Payments, enquiries and requests can be made online via the City’s website or just call our customer service staff who will still be available to assist you on 9394 5000.
The City’s general waste and recycle bin collection dates will not change during this time.
As the response continues to evolve and this new variant of the virus throws up further challenges for our state, decisions are being made in the best interests of the community and City’s staff.
We all have a part to play and I’d like to thank everyone for your patience as we undertake necessary precautions to ensure our community's wellbeing and safety. As part of lockdown restrictions, masks must be worn at all times when you aren't at home, except during vigorous outdoor exercise, while in a private vehicle with members of your own household, or if you are otherwise exempt. I appreciate this can be frustrating, but it’s important we all follow the health advice.
It is vital that anyone in Western Australia who experiences symptoms of COVID-19 gets tested. Find your nearest COVID Clinic at www.healthywa.wa.gov.au/covidclinics. Please continue to check the list of potential exposure sites online, which are being updated regularly: http://www.wa.gov.au/.../covid-19-coronavirus-locations...
We’ve done this before, so we know what do to. Keep up the great work and together we will get through this. Please remember to be kind to one another and do all we can to support each other.
Cr Ruth Butterfield
Mayor, City of Armadale
