Cook Book Club
First Friday of the month, 10.30 – 11.30am (First session 6 July)
Armadale Library

The Cook Book Club is a new group that invites you to share a recipe or two, talk about food and share some of your tasty treats.

Each month has a different theme and will feature related cook books and DVDs for you to borrow. Bring along a copy of your favourite theme related recipes and share it with other group members.

The Cook Book Club will meet the first Friday of every month, 10.30 - 11.30am at

Armadale Library. The first meeting of this group will be Friday 6 July, with a theme of Slices and Biscuits.

Themes for the months ahead include: cooking with citrus fruit, picnic food, chocolate, party starters and creating gifts for Christmas.

Come alone or bring a friend and share in the joy of conversation and good food at The Cook Book Club.

Everyone is welcome although participants must be over 12 years of age. Bookings are not required. Visit library.armadale.wa.gov.au for full details of dates and themes for 2018.

A Place in the Country with Chris Ferreira

Archaeology of the Somme

Join archaeologist Sue Carter in taking a look at what remains at the Somme, scene of the worst catastrophe in British military history.

Over one hundred years on, handle and discuss some of the actual artefacts that Sue is currently researching.
