Teen Scene at the Library in January

For the teens out there aged 12 to 16 years, catch up with your mates during January and keep cool for a few hours having fun. With a variety of entertaining free activities to participate in at the City’s Armadale Library, these school holidays will surely be memorable.

Offbeat Origami
Wednesday 11 January, 2 - 4pm
Armadale Library

Ever wanted to try Origami? This is a great opportunity to get some hands on experience during this creative workshop. Artist Nami will show participants how to make some funky Origami creations that you get to keep and take home.

Heavenly Henna
Friday 20 January, 2 - 4pm
Armadale Library

Come over to the library and try temporary henna body art. During this workshop you will learn how to make your own henna and practice creating designs. This is fun and a very creative activity that you don’t want to miss.

Pokémon Go
Monday 23 January, 2 - 4pm
Armadale Library

Trying to catch Pokémon or levelling up? Then bring your mobile device, with Pokémon Go installed, and spend your afternoon hunting away at the library.

Places are limited and bookings are essential for all sessions. Visit library.armadale.wa.gov.au or call Armadale Library on 9394 5125.

Today at the Library – Fake photograph contest

Create a funny and unique memorable photo that follows the theme of Today at the Library by modifying the photos supplied. This is a fun activity to get teens involved and putting their creative minds to work.

The photos are available for download from the library website at

Entries are open from Monday 2 to 15 January 2017.

All images will be displayed at the Armadale Library from 16 - 27 January 2017.

The image that appears the funniest and has the most creativity will be awarded with a prize. This competition is open to teens and young people aged 12 – 18 years. A maximum of three entries per person will be accepted.

Note: Images that are deemed offensive or inappropriate for public display will be ineligible.
