As part of the City of Armadale’s rejuvenation works in the Mall, free Wi-Fi has been implemented.

Now while you’re enjoying a coffee, having lunch, or shopping in the Jull St Mall you can log on to the Wi-Fi network from your electronic devices (laptops, tablets and smart phones) and access the internet for free.

Mayor Henry Zelones said the City is envisaging the service will boost visitor numbers and also help local businesses throughout the Mall.

“The intention is to provide internet access for people as they visit local businesses and travel through the Mall to the train station.

“It will also help visitors and tourists to our City to avoid crippling data roaming charges and navigate around the City, and may even drive shoppers into particular City Centre areas.

“No password is needed to access the network, just open your Wi-Fi settings and then select WiFi4Armadale and click connect – it’s that easy.

“The City is hoping it will help "put Armadale on the map" as a hub of digital innovation,” said Mayor Zelones.

The free Wi-Fi coverage is now available throughout the Jull Street Mall.

The City is planning to extend the free Wi-Fi coverage to Memorial Park and will investigate other locations throughout the City Centre, later this year.
