Young people will come together to celebrate, be inspired, get creative, learn and meet others at the annual Artbeat Youth Fest, held as part of the City of Armadale's Armadale Arts Festival.
Artbeat Youth Fest will be held on Saturday 18 May in the Jull Street Mall between 11am and 3pm.
Live music featuring DJ Tobias, interactive workshops, games, henna and body glitter, and creative installations are just some of the highlights.
Now in its fourth year, the event continues to grow in popularity, attracting young people from 12 to 25 years from across the community.
Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said young people make up a significant part of the Armadale community, representing the future leaders of the City.
“The fantastic thing about the Artbeat Youth Fest, is that we work with young people who help design the event in the planning stages, which guides the types of activities on offer for their peers,” Mayor Zelones said.
Community organisations providing services and support to young people will also be showcased on the day, so local youth are aware of what is available close to home.
DJ Tobias said he was looking forward to sharing some of his new music with the young people of Armadale.
“I think Jull Street Mall is a fantastic venue for the Artbeat Youth Fest, which continues to be a popular event amongst young people in the area,” Tobias said.
The Armadale Arts Festival is one of the City's most popular events, and will this year run from 3 to 19 May, with culture and arts activities held across the City.
