The City of Armadale is inviting community groups, sporting clubs and volunteers registered on the City’s database to come together for the Growing our Community – Connect Lunch on Thursday 10 August.

The free lunch will be held between noon and 2pm at the City of Armadale Function Room.

City of Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said the lunch is a fantastic opportunity to meet and connect with other groups and people making a difference in Armadale, to share ideas and resources and create partnerships.

“The lunch will provide an opportunity for community groups to find out what else is happening in the community and how they may be able to support others to do their great work.

The lunch is an initiative of the City’s Growing our Community campaign which was launched in November last year.

“The first sundowner was well received with over 40 different community groups attending, and requesting these types of activities continue.

“The City of Armadale boasts some fantastic and successful Community Groups and clubs who do great work and make it the place we love to live.

“I encourage volunteers, community groups and clubs interested in what the City does and what other groups are doing in the City, to take up this opportunity to come and connect with each other.”
