The City of Armadale is hosting the annual Dogs’ Day Out on Sunday 26 October, from 10am to 2pm at Rushton Park in Kelmscott.
The event for dogs of all sizes and breeds is organised by the City’s Ranger Services, to encourage responsible pet ownership and is designed to be a fun and informative day.
Rushton Park will be bustling with plenty of activities and pet advice with stallholders ranging from obedience trainers, dog groomers, agility demonstrators, local veterinarians and pet product companies.
There will also be attractions for children including face painting, bouncy castles, merchandise and food stalls.
Mayor Henry Zelones said owning and caring for a dog is a wonderful experience for many people.
“Armadale is one of the highest dog ownership areas in Perth, due to our unique outer-metro lifestyle, and with that comes responsibility.
“The City’s Rangers will be more than happy to answer any of your questions in regard to dogs, including information on registrations which expire at the end of October.
“The kids can also win a prize and have fun dressing up their pooch for the Best Dressed competition, or enter the Best Dog Trick competition.
Dogs must be on a leash at all times during the Dogs’ Day Out event.
