The City of Armadale is hosting the Seniors Recreation Council of WA’s LiveLighter Seniors Activity/Information Day at the Armadale District Hall on Wednesday 18 May from 10am to 1pm.

The Seniors Recreation Council of Western Australia organises and runs programs throughout the year which promote and/or encourage healthy ageing through activity.

The event will feature recreational activities and provide a wide range of static displays offering information on services available for older people.

City of Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said this is an opportunity for our more senior residents to take part in a variety of activities and discuss services that are available for them in our community.

“There are a number of fun activities planned for the event such as carpet bowls, mini golf, Xbox Kinect, seated hockey, quoits and pole walking,” he said.

As part of the LiveLighter Seniors Activity/Information Day a morning tea and light lunch will be provided to participants and booking are required.

If you are interested in attending the LiveLighter Seniors Activity/Information Day contact the Seniors Recreation Council of WA on 9492 9773 or the City of Armadale on 9394 5642.
