The City of Armadale is hosting the first of a series of workshops on Tuesday 16 September, as part of the Enterprise Development Program aimed at engaging Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) operating in the City.
The program consists of eight enterprise development events, and bookings are now open for the e-Biz Essentials +Networking workshop on how to use current information and communication technologies to improve your business.
Mayor Henry Zelones said it is important in the current digital media environment to learn how to streamline your business operations, especially through better use of your mobile devices and making the ‘cloud’ work for you.
“This workshop will demystify the latest jargon being used in the online world, which can be very confusing, and help you to identify ways digital technologies can transform your business.
“You will gain practical knowledge that will help you to assess the impact of emerging technologies on your current business practices, so you can identify opportunities and proactively respond to business challenges and gain competitive advantage.
“The workshop will be followed by a relaxing networking session where you can discuss specific business issues you may have experienced, and receive insight into the knowledge and experience of your workshop presenter and other local business owners,” said Mayor Zelones.
The workshop will be presented by Vincent Brown, a highly qualified and experienced eBusiness technology specialist, who regularly speaks on this topic to a wide range of industry groups, professional associations and governing bodies.
The workshop will be held on Tuesday 16 September, from 4 to 6.30pm at the Elizabethan Village Pub, 25 Canns Road, Bedfordale.
Bookings are essential. For further information on these free training sessions, which will be conducted at various locations in and around the City of Armadale, visit the City’s website at www.armadale.wa.gov.au or contact 9399 0111.
