Come along to a City of Armadale Bushcare and Environmental Working Group (BEWG) talk on Wednesday 15 October to hear ways to protect waterways in our area.
Mayor Henry Zelones said a representative from the Water Corporation will be on hand to discuss a variety of topics such as the source of environmental water flows.
“The discussion will also cover the strategic plan for dams and the relationship with waterways within the metropolitan catchment area, including the Canning and Churchman’s Brook Dams.
“Other points of discussion will include: water catchment restrictions; desalination pipelines; and supply and information on the Wungong Catchment Thinning Trial results.
“Members of the community are welcome to attend the BEWG plenary session,” said Mayor Zelones.
This BEWG plenary session is free for local residents and will be held on Wednesday 15 October at 6.30pm at Frye Park, Clifton Street, Kelmscott.
Bookings are essential. To RSVP, contact the City’s Environmental Officer by 4pm on Wednesday 8 October on 9399 0111.
