Forrestdale Business Park (FBP) continues to grow with 27 development applications lodged in 2017.

The park is already home to 107 businesses and provides employment for over 1,300 people, with major industries being manufacturing, wholesale trade and construction. When fully developed FBP could provide employment for up to 15,000 people.

Crossroads industrial estate, located within FBP West, is becoming well established with over a dozen buildings now open for business. All 24 lots released in Stage 1 have sold, and over 60 per cent of lots released in Stage 2 have also sold, with only five remaining available.

Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said one of the City’s key focus areas for 2017 was to continue to activate new developments at FBP including investment and job creation.

“Investment attraction and employment growth continue to be high strategic economic development objectives of the City, and promotion of the FBP is one of the keys to achieving these objectives”.

The location of the industrial park - just 27km from Perth CBD, 9km from Canning Vale and Roe Highway, 11km to Kwinana Freeway, 500 meters from Tonkin Highway, 20km to Welshpool and only 27km to Perth Airport is a major drawcard.

“The upgrading of Armadale Road, which is due to commence in March, will improve connectivity for many businesses and also make investing in the FPB more attractive for new and established businesses.

“The Armadale Road Bridge is due to start construction in 2019, improving the links between FBP and major business/commercial hubs and facilities in the southern metropolitan regions, will further enhance the parks attractiveness for future investment”, he said.
