With the festive season over, attention has now turned to Australia Day, with the City of Armadale set to host a jam-packed evening of festivities and fireworks.

In true Australian fashion, celebrations will include the Backyard Bash community cricket match coordinated by the WACA and a Water Fun Zone held at Memorial Park, while Australian music legends The Badloves will keep audiences entertained at the main event in Minnawarra Park before the spectacular fireworks finale.

  • The Badloves

Jump in the Green Limousine and let the Australia Day in Armadale headline act The Badloves take you on a trip down memory lane.

Triple ARIA Award winners, this is the only WA show for The Badloves who are visiting the State fresh from their extremely popular Red Hot Summer Tour that featured Jimmy Barnes, Noiseworks and The Angels.

The Badloves are a part of Australian music history after becoming a household name in the 90s, and will perform all the hit singles from their double platinum album Get on Board.

  • Backyard Bash community cricket match

It’s not Australia Day without a friendly game of backyard cricket!

In partnership with the WACA, an all ages T20 format will be held at the Memorial Park Amphitheatre. Meet Perth Scorchers mascot Blaze, participate in skill zones and challenging mini games as well.

It’s fast and fun and everyone gets a go.

  • Water Fun Zone

Throw on your bathers and cool down at the purpose-built Water Fun Zone in Memorial Park.

Water slides, water cannons and plenty of water play options for all ages. Don’t forget to slip, slop slap.

  • Fireworks finale

Delight in a spectacular fireworks show that will provide the fitting finale to Australia Day in Armadale.

  • And so much more

A host of activities for all ages including carnival rides, free go kart rides, plenty of refreshment options and of course, the spectacular fireworks finale.

Celebrations start at 5pm.

Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones said the iconic Minnawarra Park was the ideal venue to host the spectacular event.

“This event is close to home for our residents and in a venue that everyone knows and loves, offering a great alternative to the Perth Skyworks,” he said.

“As always, there is a huge range of activities for families as we come together to celebrate what’s great about Australia and being Australian.

Come down early and don’t forget to pack a picnic rug and hamper, or you can indulge in the array of food options available for purchase.

A temporary public car park will be run to fundraise for the Waroona fires. This will be for a gold coin donation and located on the corner of Abbey and Armadale Roads with access from Forrest Road and Railway Parade.
