Do you know that financial support is available to community groups?

Expressions of interest are now invited for the City of Armadale’s Community Grants – Round 1.

Community groups can apply for grants ranging from $1000 to $5000, depending on the category, for projects that benefit local residents. Projects that support community recovery from COVID-19 will be highly regarded.

“I encourage local organisations and groups to apply, particularly those who are supporting the community recovery from COVID-19. It’s always encouraging to see new initiatives which benefit our local community” said City of Armadale Mayor, Ruth Butterfield.

Recipients of the 2019/2020 City of Armadale Community Grants included St Matthew’s Anglican Church who received a $5,000 Community Grant toward its Emergency Food Relief Program.

Between the period of 2019-2020, St Matthew’s Anglican Church have provided more than 500 hampers and meals to vulnerable community members. The City’s Community Grants funding has increased capacity to provide an additional 1,000 hampers over the next year.

To be eligible to apply for 2020/2021 Community Grants – Round 1, community groups are required to contact the City of Armadale Community Development team prior to submitting their application.
