Electors who are enrolled to vote will receive their postal election packages including ballot papers in the mail from Wednesday 25 September.

City of Armadale CEO Cliff Frewing said he encouraged electors to return their ballot papers early to ensure they are received by the Electoral Commission before Friday 18 October.

“This year there are places for nominations in all seven of the City’s wards.

The Council makes many important decisions that affect the community you live in so I encourage you to vote.

“The important decisions Council make include planning and development issues, protecting the bushland and reserves in our region, building the economy and employment opportunities, community events and tourism, and future planning for community facilities and infrastructure requirements.

“The person you choose to represent your ward as a Council can play an important role in what happens in your area and the overall region.”

If you have not received your ballot paper contact the City on 9394 5000 to receive a replacement package.

The Administration Centre will be open from 8am to 6pm on Election Day, Saturday 19 October, for last-minute lodgement of votes, with the election count starting shortly after 6pm.
