A new economic development strategy is currently in the works, with the City of Armadale working with business to enable continued stimulation, attraction, investment and employment for the local market.

Lucid Economics has been engaged to consult with Armadale businesses gathering feedback on the City’s current status as a competitor in the WA marketplace, and opportunities for the future.

Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said the City of Armadale has focused on economic development for a number of years, with the previous strategy achieving great outcomes for the City’s business community.

“Our previous economic development strategy delivered small business training through our Small Business Development Program, development of a digital strategy, and attracted investment into the Forrestdale Business Park,” Mayor Zelones said.

The City has also recently launched a business register which will be made available to City of Armadale staff, with local business encouraged to register their details.

“The register will give City staff a user friendly way to access details and contact Armadale’s many businesses,” Mayor Zelones said.

If you would like to register your business, or update pre-existing details, please complete the online form at www.armadale.wa.gov.au/local-business-register
