The Armadale Visitor Centre is currently seeking more volunteers to add to their pool of energetic, enthusiastic, passionate and personable local guides to conduct walking tours.

The routes for these tours would include the Visitor Centre, History House and Chapel, Minnawarra Park and other significant points of interest and will finish at the Jull St Mall where morning tea will be provided.

Mayor Henry Zelones said the tours will run throughout the week, for a period of two hours, and rosters will be developed in cooperation with each individual to accommodate lifestyle commitments.

“All volunteer tour guides will be provided with new skills and training, at no cost. The training will equip them with knowledge of Armadale History and other areas such as; presentation skills, group management, working with children and catering for people with specific needs.

“This is a great chance to get involved with your community, while meeting likeminded people, learning new skills and can also create a sense of community spirit,” said Mayor Zelones.

If you enjoy taking an active role within your community and would like to learn more about the above opportunity, contact City of Armadale Jull St Mall Coordinator, jfriedrich@armadale.wa.gov.au or 9399 0498.
