Armadale’s best practice approach to tourism has been acknowledged with a bronze award in the category of Local Government Award for Tourism at the recent Perth Airport WA Tourism awards.

City of Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said the City of Armadale has focused on tourism over recent years, achieving several objectives of the City’s Tourism Strategy.

“The recent launch of our Perth Hills Armadale Regional Guide showcased just how many quality accommodation and food providers are based in Armadale, as well as the many attractions on offer for residents and visitors to enjoy,” Mayor Zelones said.

Available at the Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre, or online, the Regional Guide offers a ‘go to’ booklet for residents hosting family and friends over the festive season.

“It is often surprising to learn of how many attractions are available in your local area. When having friends and family to stay for the holidays, it is always great to have options available.”

“We recommend picking up a Regional Guide to help your guests have the best possible time experiencing Armadale and the Perth Hills over the festive season,” Mayor Zelones said.

Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre is a one stop shop delivering a wealth of information and a booking service for residents and visitors.

“I would like to congratulate The City of Albany on winning gold in the local government category at the awards. Together we can achieve great things to cross promote our regions as leading WA tourist destinations.”

The Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards recognise the quality and diversity of tourism attractions, amenities and experiences that Western Australia has to offer.
