The City of Armadale is excited to announce an expanded 2019/2020 Community Grants Program, with round 1 applications opening Monday 2 September 2019.

Designed to support activities that enrich local communities, the program is offering grants from $1,000 up to $5,000 to fund new initiatives and projects from non-profit and incorporated community groups.

City of Armadale’s Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said the program received strong interest last year and the City has expanded the funding available and introduced grant categories to further increase the program’s impact.

“This program injects some much needed financial support towards the important work our local community groups and non-profit organisations do.

“I strongly encourage local organisations and groups to apply and look forward to seeing a diversity of new initiatives come to life for the benefit of our local community,” said Mayor Zelones.

Applications are invited from all community groups and non-profit organisations in the City of Armadale, including but not limited to, sporting clubs, school P&Cs, welfare, arts, youth, seniors and multicultural groups.

Applicants are required to discuss their application with the City’s Community Development team to predetermine eligibility and can email info@armadale.wa.gov.au or call 9394 5651.

Applications close Tuesday 1 October, however applicants need to register their interest before Monday 23 September 2019.
