Jull Street Mall and Memorial Park in Armadale will set the scene for a captivating Christmas celebration for family and friends in the Armadale community, with the Carols by Candlelight and Christmas parade being held on Friday 1 December between 6pm and 8.30pm.

The festivities will be with the annual parade down Jull Street Mall to Memorial Park featuring the Explosive Dance & Theatre Company, the Western Flames Drilldance Club the Armadale Reptile Park and the Celtic Thistle Highland Dancers, to name a few.

Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said the event also proved a popular addition to the City of Armadale social calendar.

“The Christmas parade attracts thousands to the Jull Street Mall to enjoy dancing and performances from local groups, with the Rainbow Riding School joining in the parade for the first time this year,” Mayor Zelones said.

Community members and visitors can follow the parade through to Memorial Park, where Santa Claus will offer some words of wisdom for the children in the lead up to Christmas.

“Be sure to collect your songbooks and LED candles for the Carols by Candlelight, held in Memorial Park, with performances by local schools and community choirs, supported with live music provided by the highly acclaimed and award winning Armadale City Concert Band,” Mayor Zelones said.

The event is also home to the annual Salvation Army Christmas Food Bank, we encourage you to bring down some non-perishable food items and groceries to give to those in need in your community.

There will be live music throughout the evening event, with performances from local choirs, the Armadale City Choir Concert Band, and the Roleystone Theatre Christmas Choir who gather once per year for this event.
