Due to current and future growth, bin collection services to some areas in the City of Armadale are changing from Monday 7 October 2019.
A recent review of the general waste and recycling bin collection service across all suburbs indicated a need for change to continue to deliver an effective collection service.
Those households affected by a change to their bin collection day or recycling area will have received a letter from the City outlining the changes.
Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said the City is mindful of the logistics involved in providing the waste collection service and the necessity to continue meeting the needs of current and future growth in population.
“Not all properties are affected as the review identified boundary changes for around half of the properties across the City,” said Mayor Zelones.
“We understand that this change may cause some initial inconvenience to residents, however it is necessary to maintain an efficient bin collection service to all suburbs.”
Residents who are changing to an ‘Area 1’ recycling fortnight may be impacted by this change and can place additional recycling in boxes next to their recycling bin, if required, on their bin collection day during the week of 14 – 18 October.
Residents can check their bin day/recycling collection fortnight by visiting www.armadale.wa.gov.au/my-waste-collection-day or by contacting the City’s waste services on 9394 5124 or info@armadale.wa.gov.au.
