Armadale continues to set the bar high, taking home the Local Government Best Practice Award at the recent 2020 Bankwest Master Builders Housing Excellence Awards.
The Master Builders Awards program showcases and rewards the demonstration of exceptional craftsmanship, commitment to building excellence, and upholding the highest professional standard.
WA Master Builders Association Director, John Gelavis said “Local governments play an important role in the building industry and the unique Master Builders best practice award is voted by builders, who regularly work with councils.
“The City of Armadale delivers timely responses to building applications, provides reliable advice and shows high standards of communication and cooperation.” he said.
There was tough competition, with the other three finalists being the City of Belmont, City of Mandurah and the City Rockingham.
City of Armadale Mayor Ruth Butterfield said “the recognition from the building industry in receiving this award indicates the continued progress the City has made in delivering further improvements and exceptional service to our community.
“Our continued growth means our building services team are kept very busy, and it’s fantastic they have been recognised for their dedication, commitment and hard work,” she said.
The awards were held on February 22 at Crown Perth. The WA winners will compete against the best of other states and territories at the Master Builders national awards in Perth on November 28.
