The City of Armadale has released the latest edition of its regional tourism guide to promote the City – At Home in the Perth Hills.

The updated, full colour brochure is produced by the City’s Visitor Centre and showcases the colourful attractions and natural beauty that the area has on offer to local and regional visitors.

Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said Armadale is a wonderful destination, located only 30 minutes from the Perth CBD, for holidays, business trips or catching up with friends and relatives.

“Armadale is a growing regional centre at the heart of a bustling urban community – where else in Perth do you get that alongside scenic parks, undulating hills and picturesque valleys?

“It is a place in which you can relax, unwind and reconnect with nature. With activities like walks or bike rides along a bush trail, a scenic drive through the hills or enjoying the spectacular wildflowers that flourish along the Darling Scarp.

“The guide contains up to the minute details of tours, accommodation, restaurants, tourist venues and natural attractions and also has a list of the extensive range of community events that the City organises.

“We hope to see many more people visiting Armadale and enjoying all our attractions, especially through spring and summer when our parks and reserves come alive with wildflowers,” said Mayor Zelones.

More than 25,000 copies of the guide have been produced and distributed to key tourism outlets such as Experience Perth and throughout Western Australian Visitor Centres.

The Armadale Visitor Guide is available online at www.armadale.wa.gov.au or you can pick up a copy from the Armadale Visitor Centre in Jull Street or any of the City’s libraries.
