The City of Armadale is excited to bring the Armadale Highland Gathering and Perth Kilt Run to Champion Lakes Regatta Centre, on Sunday 6 October 2024. This one-off change of location is due to the ongoing Metronet works taking place in and around Minnawarra Park and Armadale Road.

The Armadale Highland Gathering is one of the City’s longest running events, first taking place in 1994. It remains the largest Scottish themed event in WA.

Perth Kilt Run began in 2013 and has donated just shy of $25,000 to charity over the years. For 2024, part proceeds of registrations will be donated to: Dogs Home Refuge WA, Headspace Armadale and the Amanda Young Foundation.

A new addition to the 2024 Perth Kilt Run is a 2.5km Classic with dogs option that has a separate start time. The traditional 5km Warrior and 2.5km Classic options remain, and both are completely wheelchair and pram accessible.

Mayor Ruth Butterfield said: “We’re excited to welcome you all to the 2024 Armadale Highland Gathering and Perth Kilt Run. Whilst the venue has changed for this year, the event promises to be better than ever. With a new addition to the Perth Kilt Run, the Classic with dogs option should provide some new entrants this year, and continue to support our three charity partners. Please come down and join in the biggest celebration of all things Scottish in WA.”
