The Armadale Arena is hosting a fundraising event to support the work of beyondblue, on Tuesday 25 November from 6.30 to 8.30pm.
beyondblue is an independent non-profit organisation working to address issues associated with depression, anxiety disorders and related mental disorders.
Mayor Henry Zelones said it’s staggering to realise that there are three million Australian’s living with anxiety or depression, and we probably all know of someone that is suffering with one, or both issues.
“We are hoping that there are individuals, and groups that will take up this opportunity to support this very worthy organisation.
“All age groups are catered for, so join us for this mega 90 minute group fitness class and have some fun while you get fit.
“Our guest speaker, Michael Leith recently undertook a 1000km stand-up paddle from Brisbane to Sydney to raise awareness for men’s mental health and wellbeing, and will discuss mental health issues, said Mayor Zelones.
There are raffles and door prizes to be won and for a gold coin donation children from 4 to 11 years can join a Radkids class, and the crèche will be operating for children up to 4 years.
This fundraising mega 90 minute group fitness class is suitable for all fitness levels and anyone over 12 years of age. Tickets cost $10 per person and are available from Armadale Arena, or available for purchase at the event.
All proceeds from this fitness fundraiser will be donated to beyondblue. Hope. Recovery. Resilience.
