The Armadale community will benefit from a re-elected Turnbull Coalition Team with the announcement today of a $10 million commitment towards the $25 million redevelopment of the Armadale Aquatic Centre.

Following the announcement Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones said he was absolutely delighted at the news.

“This commitment is just reward for the patience and forbearance of the people of our district who have been told repeatedly that they have to wait to have an all year round heated facility.

“This is just the shot in the arm our community needs at times like this.

"Just a few weeks ago our Council resolved to finalise the design and estimates so this project could start in 2017 if funding was attracted.

“If Minister Keenan, Matt O'Sullivan and Senator Linda Reynolds can bring $10M to our project the people of Armadale will save nearly $16M in borrowings and interests over the ensuing decades,” he said.

“That deserves a very big thank you and would be a fitting tribute to the late Don Randall.”
