The City of Armadale is extending an invitation to residents who have lived in the district for 50 years or more to attend the annual Pioneers’ Reunion on Saturday 7 October, from 2pm at Kelmscott Hall, River Road, Kelmscott.

The Pioneers’ Reunion is a chance to recognise the achievements and contributions of the men and women who have made the City of Armadale what it is today.

Mayor Henry Zelones said this event gives us all an opportunity to reflect on the early years of life in our City, whilst also catching up with old friends and reminiscing about times gone by.

“Every year the reunion provides an occasion for the attendees to reconnect with people from years ago – it might be your old neighbours or friends from your community, or fellow members of sporting groups, that you’ve lost touch with over the years.

“Our long-time residents have witnessed many significant changes to the Armadale City Centre and surrounding district, and extensive residential growth throughout the City over the years.

“By reflecting on the past, we get the opportunity to remind ourselves that while the City is continuing to grow and develop, we should also remember all the hard work and the sacrifices of our early pioneers,” said Mayor Zelones.

If you have not yet received a personal invitation and have lived in the City of Armadale for 50 years, continually or otherwise, please contact the Mayor’s Office to register your details on 9394 5639.
