Avoid boredom and visit the City’s libraries during the April school holidays and learn more about Aussie wildlife and other animals.
Begin with a trip to Kelmscott Library on Wednesday 16 April, from 2 - 3pm, and listen to a reading of the classic Dr Seuss story Horton hatches the egg! Then enjoy some hands-on fun as you design and build your own egg lander. This session is presented by Scitech and suitable for children aged four - eight years.
Children can get up close and personal with some amazing Australian wildlife including a koala, dingo and snake when Westoz Wildlife visits Armadale Library on Tuesday 22 April. Two session times are available for children over four years from 1 - 2pm and 2.15 - 3.15pm.
Enjoy craft activities when you visit History House Museum on Wednesday 23 April from 10.30am – 1.30pm and create your own koala, bat and platypus from cardboard rolls. All materials are supplied.
Complete your ‘Animalia’ activity fun on Thursday 24 April when the Animal Ark visits Seville Grove Library. Learn about real live lizards, frogs, insects and snakes – you even get the opportunity to hold these amazing creatures during this hands-on session. All are welcome - two sessions are available at 1.30 – 2.30pm and 3 – 4pm.
Parents or carers must stay with their child during these events.
